What is QuickBase? It's quite difficult to put into words so instead I will list aspects that will help you to understand what it really does.

• It's web-based.
• As a user/developer, you will have access to a database of databases.
• You may manipulate the databases already available or you can start from scratch.
• The database you end up using can be altered in real time to change with your companies growing needs.
• You can develop user-friendly forms that enter data in your database quite rapidly.
• The time it takes to develop a QuickBase application is much less than it would take in conventional database programs.
• You do not need to be a programmer to develop a database and user interface.
• You can sell your particular database design if you like to other QuickBase users.

Over all, I would say you need the skill level of 6 on a scale of 1 - 10 in computer savyness to develop a fairly decent application using QuickBase that will be ready to use in a corporate setting. The time it takes is anywhere from 10 minutes to about 10 hours if you are starting with an already existing database.
